Wartime Christmas Dinner

As part of our enquiry approach to learning we decided to focus our food technology project this term on what a christmas dinner would look like during the war.We researched the decorations they would have had, the food, and then invited class 1 and class 2 to our wartime christmas dinner!
Murkey (which is a form of stuffing shaped to look like a turkey, with parsnips for legs), potato cakes and boiled carrots.

Miss Symons showed us how to chop, peel and grate safely but we did all of the work! Miss Symons was very impressed with how well we worked as a team and that we managed to cook a whole Christmas lunch!
