Update 12.3.21

12th March 2021

Dear parents/carers

COVID Update 12.3.21

It’s been a great week back in school, children have been so happy to get back to some normality and to see their peers again. Although we are remaining in or contained bubbles, we are having virtual contact with the other classes via Zoom PE sessions and assemblies. You are still welcome to join us from home if you want to join in with either. Next week’s assembly will be at 11.30am on Friday, we will join our partner school in Dublin to celebrate St. Patrick’s day with them and listen to their singing and watch their Irish dancing.

INSET – You should have received an email today with a link to a questionnaire regarding a proposed change of INSET dates. Please respond as soon as you can so we can gather thoughts and ideas.

Wraparound care – If you would like either breakfast club or after school club for next week then please email Anita or Mary stating which days you would like. This has to be planned carefully due to mixed classes so we will not be able to take children if they haven’t been booked in in advance. The charge is £3 per session with a subsidy for children entitled to free school meals. If you have booked a place and no longer need it then please let us know or you will be charged in full as we still have to staff it. Many thanks.

School meals – Due to staff shortage, all meals for both schools will be cooked at Boskenwyn next week. Germoe meals will be taken over in hot boxes to keep them at the correct temperature. This is a temporary measure and not uncommon practice in small schools. Sam (Boskenwyn cook) has been cooking school meals for over 15 years and has had experience in this type of delivery.

Uniform – School uniform should now be worn in school. If you are not able to access a uniform at present then suitable clothing in similar colours to the school uniform should be worn. Please could you also make sure it is labelled.

Water bottles – all children should have a labelled water bottle with them in school at all times.

Have a lovely weekend
